Dear Fellow Mama: You're NOT too old to get a new career!

Updated: Jul 7, 2021

Dear Fellow Mama,

You look at your children and you can't believe that you're still trying to figure out your next career move. You should be helping them figure out what they want to be when they grew up. Not figuring out what you want to be. Every day you struggle to stay motivated in your career. One day you're a robot, pounding on the keyboard with your eyes glued to the computer screen. Other days you're a hamster running like crazy on your wheel, even though it's not taking you anywhere. You wonder if it's really greener on the other side. Plus, it's been forever since you interviewed for a job. Do you even remember how to job search and interview anymore? Even if you were bold enough to make a move right now, there could be implications to your kids and your family. You can't take that kind of risk. Sigh...You just want to enjoy your job and have energy left at the end of your shift to cook dinner and play tea time with your kids. Is that too much to ask for?

I hear you my fellow Mama. I see you...I know exactly how you feel. I was in the same boat. I am here to tell you that you are NOT TOO OLD to get a new career! You are worthy of a job that you enjoy. You are worthy of a better pay job. You are worthy of self-love, self-care and confidence. You are worthy of a flexible job that respects your mom life. YOU ARE WORTHY.

You do not have to feel this way. All you have to do is decide that your happiness is beneficial for you, your kids, your family and your career. It'll be ok. You'll be ok...no, you'll be better than ok.

💜 Your Fellow Working Mom ~ Mollie
