Girl, before I started my business, I was killing it in HR. I’d just been promoted to lead a brand-new North America team because, let’s be real, I was HER. My SVP even said I could “find glitter in piles of shit.” But while my six-figure salary was cute and my job was easy AF, it wasn’t my zone of genius - it was just my zone of mehh. And don’t get me started on my coworkers. 😒 Drabby, bitchy, miserable. You could feel their negativity suffocating the room, and I wasn’t about to marinate in that forever.
Then came Valentine’s Day 2021. I was sitting alone in my home office while my husband and kids were making my fave chocolate-covered strawberries. Sure, they loved me - but did I love me? 🫣 The answer hit hard: fuck no. If I really loved myself, I’d be all in on my coaching business, doing what God and the universe created me to do.
Two days later, on a random-ass Tuesday, I walked into my senior director’s office and said, “I’m done. Here’s my two-week notice.” Bye-bye corporate bullshit, hello freedom. It felt like ripping off a bra at the end of the day - instant relief, instant fuck yessss.
My Why
When I went all in, everything changed. I started loving myself fr, fr. I realized I was more than my 20 years in HR leadership and could finally surround myself with Type A badasses who actually wanted to learn and grow. No more bitchy coworkers - just ambitious entrepreneurs who get what it’s like to build an empire from your laptop while feeling hella lonely sometimes.
I learned that betting on myself wasn’t risky - it was powerful. And girl, my voice and energy? Corporate tried to stifle them, but now they’re my superpowers! I help my clients ditch the boring LinkedIn vibe and show up authentically to attract their dream clients. No cold pitches, no annoying broski sales tactics - just real, unapologetic connection.
